Practical answers before your next solar decision

Understand how our solar, maintenance, electrical and testing services are scoped before you start a conversation with us.

A well-planned solar system can reduce reliance on grid electricity, make part of your energy cost more predictable and support lower-carbon operations. The practical benefit depends on your site, electricity use, tariff, system design and operating conditions.

Installation time varies with system size, site access, electrical work, approvals and operating constraints. A small residential installation may take only a few days, while commercial and industrial projects require a project-specific programme.

Solar systems benefit from periodic cleaning, visual inspection, connection checks and targeted electrical or thermal testing when appropriate. The right maintenance interval depends on dust, weather exposure, equipment guidance and the system’s operating history.

Suitability depends on available roof or ground space, shading, structural and electrical conditions, access, electricity use and the project objective. A site assessment brings those factors together before a system is recommended.

Panels can still produce electricity in daylight when it is cloudy, but output is usually lower because less solar irradiance reaches the array. Panels do not generate electricity at night; nighttime supply depends on the grid, batteries or another available source.

Many solar panels are designed for an operating life of roughly 25 to 30 years, with gradual performance change over time. Actual service life depends on product quality, installation, environment, maintenance and manufacturer guidance.
